OUR PARTNERS

 

In order to provide assistance and address its members needs, CRAC liaises with local and national organisations. This partnership with statutory and voluntary organisations enables us to exchange information about refugees and asylum seekers issues, provide trainings and workshops for our members, organise events such as the Refugee Week in Wales for example. Our main partners are :

CARA or Council for Assisting Refugee Academics from all over the world. It was set up in 1933 to help and assist dismissed academic personal when Hitler came to power in Germany and then as the fascist ideology spread, in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Czechoslovakia and Austria. DPIA or Displaced People in Action : It aims to provide educational activities for refugees and asylum seekers living in Wales. It helps individuals to access courses, trips and other activities and events. It gives advice, support and guidance on starting your own community group. It can also provide many services for organisations such as training, volunteers, opportunities to work in partnership. It is a valuable source for information and resources on asylum, human rights and other issues that face refugees. SOVA : is a national organisation that delivers support for adults and children who are socially excluded, mainly from refugees and asylum seekers communities. Sova has volunteer befrienders/mentors who speak different languages. Sova volunteers can help with : Conversation, Befriending, NHS appointments and accommodation. RAM or Wales Asylum Seekers &Refugees Media Group : It aims to develop strategies that will assist refugees, asylum seekers, and organisations working with them, to obtain fair and accurate representation in the mass media. WRC or Welsh Refugee Council : It is a charity organisation that offers advice, support, and advocacy for asylum seekers and refugees in Wales. It also provide help with National Asylum Support Service (NASS) applications, advice on accommodation, travel assistance for asylum interviews, benefits, housing, health, immigration and  education.
