Become a member of our council and enjoy the richness of diversity

Our council aims to be present in all over Wales, providing help and support to refugees and asylum seekers with an academic background.

Our council holds two regular meetings a month, at Moira Terrace, Adams Down in Cardiff, from 6pm to 8pm.

The Executive Committee holds its meetings on the first Thursday of each month. The second meeting, which takes place on the third Thursday of each month, is open to any one who is interested in finding out more about our council. We welcome anyone who wants to know more about our council, either from the refugee or the host communities. Anyone who is interested, please drop in to meet our members and to enjoy diverse and warm friendship.

Our meetings are very friendly and informal. The members of the council hold meetings to:

  • Debate the latest news from the Home Office regarding asylum and refugee issues.

  • Discuss the evolution of our council plans and projects.

  • Raise awareness about the new asylum regulations.

  • Provide information about existing jobs in Wales, trainings and other activities organised by our partners.

  • Discuss plans on how to liaise with more academic institutions and universities.
